Music
School
was established in 1996 by a group of Auckland Philharmonia musicians under the
leadership of Tatiana Lanchtchikova. EMS
provides musical tuition for children of any age with an
aim to give strong musical education whether as a future professional musician
or otherwise.
Today
at EMS
pupils
are given an opportunity of mastering Violin, Viola, Cello, Double bass, Flute,
Recorder, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Percussion, Piano, Accordion,
Guitar, as well as having group lessons in Music Theory, Sol-fa training,
Chamber Ensembles and Jazz Bands. Exams
preparation and regular concert performances are seen as a highly important part
of our pupils’ education. Priority is given in creating an artistic personality
for each young musician. EMS
's students have various
ethnic backgrounds from many countries and the school is very proud of its international
atmosphere, which reflects the multicultural NZ. We welcome you to our School!
