Elizabeth was born in Hong Kong, and currently resides in Auckland, New Zealand as a freelance musician and music educator with a diverse background. Elizabeth is the founder of Wairua Sinfonietta - a non-profit charity orchestra that focuses on unity through music. She currently holds a position as the Deputy Music Director of the Bach Musica. She is currently Music Director of the ACG String Orchestra and the ACG Symphony Orchestra.

Graduating from the University of Auckland, Elizabeth has a diverse academic background. She holds various degrees in composition, collaborative piano and double bass performance, and was the first student in the history of the university to be awarded a Master’s degree in Choral and Orchestral Conducting.

Elizabeth has a great passion for music and serves various areas in the industry. In her career as an educator, she gives piano, double bass and theory lessons in various schools. As a registered NZSI teacher, she regularly gives masterclasses, workshops and parent talks across New Zealand. As a performer, she regularly serves as a piano accompanist. She also serves as a chamber music coach for instrumental and vocal exams, competitions and performances. As a conductor, Elizabeth has visited various different countries to perform. This includes the Czech Republic, England, Switzerland, Australia, as well as locally at the School of Music String Orchestra at the University of Auckland. Elizabeth was also the Deputy Music Director of the Auckland Choral, as well as other community orchestra and choral organisations.
