Jaeyong Nam is a South Korean clarinetist with multicultural background.

After his early studies in Korea and China, Jaeyong moved to the UK in 2014 where he completed Bachelor of Music at the Royal Northern College of Music under the guidance of Nicholas Cox and Antonio Salguero. He then gained Master of Arts and Professional Diploma at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Chris Richards. During his time in the UK, Jaeyong has received several scholarships. 

As an orchestral musician, Jaeyong has performed in numerous venues with orchestras, including a tour across China with youth orchestras. He has also performed under conductors such as Jac Van Steen and Robert Trevino.

Jaeyong has also participated in various festivals and masterclasses, studying with clarinetists such as Andreas Ottensamer, Gabor Varga, Patrick Messina and Romain Guyot. 

In 2023, Jaeyong has completed his national service in South Korea where he served as a member of Republic of Korea army band. During his service, Jaeyong was a frequent soloist and performed in concert halls across the country.

As a teacher, Jaeyong is passionate about education and enjoys teaching students of all ages and various backgrounds.
