Educated in Europe and New Zealand, Italian lyric coloratura soprano Lilia Carpinelli holds a Master of Music (First Class) from Auckland University and a Singing Degree from Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Martucci Salerno (Italy). Based in Auckland since 2008, Lilia has appeared with orchestras in Italy, Austria, China, Israel and Palestine. She is currently a New Zealand Opera Freemasons Resident Artist and a member of the NBR Chapman Opera Chorus.

In addition to engagements all over the world, Lilia maintains a strong presence in New Zealand as performer and as teacher. As a singing teacher Lilia has more than 20 years experience. She enjoys teaching a variety of singing styles to students of any age and level.
