Epsom Music School was established in 1996 by a group of Auckland Philharmonia musicians under the leadership of Tatiana Lanchtchikova.
EMS provides musical tuition for children of any age with an aim to give strong musical education whether as a future professional musician or otherwise.
In 2018 a new partnership was formed between Epsom Music School and ACG Parnell College :
Epsom Music School - ACG Parnell Music Academy
Today at EMS - ACG Parnell Music Academy, pupils are given an opportunity of mastering Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Recorder, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Piano, Guitar, Vocal as well as having group lessons in Music Theory, Sol-fa training and Chamber Ensembles.
Exams preparation and regular concert performances are seen as a highly important part of our pupils’ education. Priority is given in creating an artistic personality for each young musician.
EMS's students have various ethnic backgrounds from many countries and the school is very proud of its international atmosphere, which reflects the multicultural NZ.
