Rachel Song is a South Korean-born New Zealand pianist who earned her Master of Music degree in classical piano performance from the University of Auckland. She received numerous awards and scholarships during her tertiary studies in Auckland and has participated in various music festivals and competitions, including ROSL, the Wallace International Music Festival, the Gisborne International Music Competition, and the Lee University International Piano Festival.

As a dedicated collaborative pianist, she has performed extensively throughout New Zealand with various ensembles and choirs, including Luminata Voices. She serves as the official pianist for the North Shore Performing Arts Competition Junior section and has developed a unique connection with the North Shore Youth Music program under the guidance of director Vanessa Kay since 2009. She frequently embarks on tours with talented students, with their most recent tour taking place in Tasmania.

In addition to her career as a performer, Rachel is a passionate and experienced music teacher. She has been teaching privately and in institutions for over 10 years and has produced outstanding students who have achieved distinction marks in their exams. Rachel also works closely with young secondary musicians as the Auckland District Contest Organiser for the Chamber Music New Zealand.
